The Last Close

Should be my last close as Kat starts on Monday up here and in Career Services. I'm excited only because I hate closing! Not just that, but getting up at the butt crack of dawn to be here by 7:30 tomorrow.

Paul gave me the number to one of his personal friends and I'm going to fax all of our info to her in the morning and see if she can do better. We are getting close, but learned there is a $1000. Promissory Note that has to be made. Didn't know about all that!~ This is just a shit load of fun so far, and his reaction to it all is even more priceless. I am thinking the only way to come up with it besides giving notice from our apartment and using that amount of rent money to go with what little we do have saved up and then not get the house and be screwed, is to use part of my 401K and have him cash out his vacation of 50 hours so we can have it all together and not tap into our little "fund", which isn't much but it's a little security for him and us to have. We could come up with $500 each and have the $1000 and be done with that. I still don't know what an appraisal fee is and who is going to cover it, and if the seller does, then why am I notified so that I have to worry about it? I guess the inspection we can put on our credit card? They sure aren't upfront with someone, it just keeps adding up and up. Pretty soon we won't be able to do this at all!

Had a good time last night at Rose Festival. She was a very good girl. We only spent like $40 altogether. My feet were killing me though, right after work and spent 3 hours down there. Still I was awake at 6:15 this morning. I was even late to work! I'm never late! ! Stupid Max!

I got free dinner tonight. Student Appreciation Day, had a hamburger with a dash of potato salad, and a Pepsi which I'm about to throw out because it's too sweet. I had a diet one the other day and I couldn't finish it either. I just can't do pop any more. I like my iced tea. Every now and again I can share a pop, but not the entire one by myself.

I'm not nearly as tired tonight as I was last week though, unless I already said that!?

I'm pretty sure the buyer and seller have to have their own separate appraisals done. Brian is a real estate appraiser and has to do them for both people who are selling homes and for people buying them. More often then not though, he has to do them for couples who are getting divorced.

That would be more stressful than our situation for sure. I don't have that problem. I don't know if we can do it though.
