Orientation Day
Thursday and orientation day. Laurel won't be here for it. Might go smoothly, let us hope! We only have 17 for this evening's start. Not very many, but we match with academics so that helps A LOT!
I hope it warms up today. It was very good talking to Jen last weekend. She helped sooth my irritation for sure.
Taty's party went off very well. Sherry didn't come. Said on the recorder when we got home that she didn't know it was on her birthday, where it was or what time. TJ told her though. I just erased it. He doesn't understand why I get upset at her for not being at things. She is just like that. Missed Taty's graduation because the cat pissed on her counter and she had to clean it up. I guess that is important, I don't have a cat to piss on my anything, and perhaps that is why? They keep bugging me about a damn dog. It will be a while for that too. Not until they make a pact to help take care of the damn thing so I'm not stuck doing it all. I already have the 3 of us to keep up after. That is plenty for me and then some.
I work Saturday from 10-2. There goes my 2 mile walk first thing Saturday morning and feeding the squirrels. They will miss me too. Mom is going to watch her for me.
I hope Melanie makes it all day, there is no one to relieve me for lunch except one of the Reps. Not many of them enjoy doing the phones, imagine that?? Had this most icky man come up this morning when no one was here. He spit on the paper you sign in on and left brown something from his spit on it, so I had to change it. I sanitzed like a MOFO when he left. Said he'd be back and thank the GOOD Lord he has not. He gave me his full address too just in case (of what??) but said, oh, you are married aren't you?? I would have said yes even if I was single after that!! But, yes, of course I answered yes I am in a most professional way. I should have gotten a grammy for that one! The security guard comes up some 15 minutes later to check on me. Larry isn't coming in until later I have learned. It's all good, I'm safe and he's gone, hopefully not to return again.
I was so ready for the weekend too! Crystal loaned us Kill Bill Volume 1 and 2. I remember when Melissa went to see that movie when it first came out. She really enjoyed it, and I intend to as well. I suggested we have a Kill Bill Friday night and he agreed! Not something that Tatyana can watch for sure. I've seen the last half hour of the first one and when she stepped on the eye ball that had been ripped from the girls eye socket and squished it between her toes, I was totally into it by that point!! Maybe I'm a psycho and my husband is rubbing off on me?
I am now reading Nightmares and Dreamscapes by Stephen King. Very interesting and funny too. Thick book but I'm already into the 3rd story and 82 pages into the book. TJ bought me 3 books to read and this is the one I chose first to read.
